Ebru Yilmaz was born in 1972 in Istanbul. She continued to receive her elementary, middle, and high school education in Istanbul. She then graduated from Istanbul University in 1993, where she studied Psychology in the Faculty of Literature.
During the years of 1993-1997, she worked in numerous publishers as an Academic Consultant and Executive.
In 1996, she began to study Psychodrama, a field she had been interested in since her university years, at the Istanbul Institute of Psychodrama. She worked alongside Psychodramatists such as Zerka Moreno, David Kipper, Kate Hudgins, and Monica Zuretti during this time. She completed her study of Children’s Psychodrama in 1999 and received her Psychodrama Co-Therapist Diploma in 2001.
She still continues her endeavors in Psychodrama under the leadership of Associate Prof. Dr. Ali Nahit Babaoglu and Prof. Dr. Oget Oktem, studying Jung Psychodrama.
Between the years of 1997-98 she completed the group project “Jealousy and Competition” under the guidance of Specialist Psychologist Consultant Leyla Navaro.
During the years of 2003-04 she received “Family Therapy” education from Dr. Kemal Kuscu.
